DESCRIPTION:\nSpeciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) – Coffee Ro
 asting (Intermediate)\n\n\nStudents are tested in their understanding of a
 nd skills in designing and executing different positive roast profiles as 
 well their sensory recognition of different roast defects. Students are in
 troduced to different chemical conditions and principles that cause the ph
 ysical properties and reactions introduced at foundation level. It is expe
 cted that they are able to name these reactions and what they cause in ter
 ms of the physical and sensory properties of the final coffee. The pass ma
 rk of 70% means that the practical and theoretical tests need to be done s
 atisfactory to pass and become certified.\nSuccessful students will be awa
 rded 10 points towards the SCAE Coffee Diploma.\n\nPre-requisites for part
 icipation in the Intermediate certification process:\n- Roasting Foundatio
 n\n- Sensory Foundation\n- Green Coffee Foundation\n\nCourse Content Inclu
