Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) – Sensory Skills (Professional)
This course is designed to build on the knowledge gained in the Sensory Skills Intermediate course and prepares the student for managerial job functions found in sensory related professions. Integration of sensory knowledge with that in other CSP modules including green coffee and roasting are also expected.
It is mandatory to hold certification at the Intermediate level before pursuing the Professional level course, which requires extensive relevant experience.
The course provides you with the key information to enable you to sit your Sensory Professional certification that consists of several practical exams and an extensive written exam.
Successful students will be awarded 25 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Program.
Course Content Includes:
– Science background to sensorial experiences
– Recognise taints in coffee
– Understand SCAA and CoE cupping forms
– Sensory panel
– Sensory Profiling
(Will issued SCAE Certificate if the Exams PASSED)
(Course fee including Exam & Certificate fee)
(Credits for SCA Coffee Skills Program: 25 points)
